We know our alumni are driving positive change in our communities, and that's why we're thrilled to announce this exciting opportunity for our alumni to contribute even more. By sharing how you #TransformNB, you'll have the chance to receive a one-time $1000 grant for the registered charity or non-profit close to your heart.

Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ's Robertson Institute for Community Leadership, in partnership with Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Alumni, is proud to launch this initiative aimed at supporting alumni who are passionate about making a difference. We're on a mission to recognize and reward your continued dedication to transforming lives and communities through volunteerism and community leadership.

How it Works

We're offering two $1000 grants to a non-profit or charity that you are involved with in New Brunswick.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be registered as Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Alumni.
  • Only one nomination will be accepted per applicant.
  • Applicants must have contributed to volunteering with the named community organization within the last 12-18 months.
  • Organizations must be registered as a charity or not-for-profit organization and be located in New Brunswick.
  • Political and public advocacy organizations are not eligible for this grant.
Note: Alumni Volunteer Grants applications open in April and close May 15th.

Selection Process

Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ’s Alumni and Robertson Institute for Community Leadership Coordinators will review each nomination to ensure eligibility.

An Advisory Committee consisting of Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ staff and alumni will develop a short-list of nominees for consideration based on the following criteria:

  • Impact
  • Role
  • Lifelong Learning

Within the application, there are guiding questions aligned with the criteria to assist you in providing detailed responses. We look forward to seeing how you #TransformNB!

 


2025 Alumni Volunteer Grant Recipients

Carleton Victoria Arts Council - Pearl Black

The and Pearl Black (Bilingual Office Administration, 2007) As Director of Programming—a position she has held since 2015— Pearl curates and coordinates live performances, bringing world-class artists to the rural community she cares deeply about.

Her leadership helps ensure that high-quality arts experiences remain accessible, inspiring audiences of all ages and enriching the cultural life of the region.

Elgin Eco Association and Luke Steeves

and Luke Steeves (Instructor Development program, 2010 ) As the Treasurer of the Elgin Eco Association, as well as a trail builder and maintenance volunteer, Luke is promoting health, wellness, and outdoor recreation while ensuring environmental conservation and sustainability.

Through his dedication, mountain bikers, hikers, and children benefit annually, enjoying safe and well-maintained trails and recreational spaces.
